Co-founder and CEO of GoTech Innovation Irina Kalashnikova spoke with the founder and CEO of Verspeak Ruslan Musin and a board member of Suomzilla Alexander Krylov about why they decided to go to Finland, what they have already done over the past year in a new country for themselves, what advice they can give other entrepreneurs.
For the first year of Retail Innovation Tech Alliance (RITA), M.Video-Eldorado's innovative division managed to select more than 20 technological solutions, with which it is actively working. RITA was initiated in February 2020 by X5 Group, Beeline, M.Video-Eldorado Group, and Hoff to scout and adopt innovations. GoTech Innovation acted as a scouting operator in Russia, CIS, Europe in spring and autumn 2020.
We have good news for entrepreneurs with global ambitions aiming to enter the EU market. Finlanding program starts on August 2 with the application period until September 20. The program organizer, Helsinki Centre in St. Petersburg, together with the program partners NewCo Helsinki and Helsinki Business Hub, are inviting Russian technology companies to participate in the program to help them enter the European market through Finland. GoTech Innovation is the Finlanding program operator.
Nine startups have been chosen to launch a pilot with the X5 Group. Among them are the AI-based service for processing customer feedback and the robot that displays goods on the shelf. All startups were found as a result of the RITA’s selection deal flow sessions, the alliance created in February 2020 by leading Russian retail and technology companies X5 Group, Beeline, M.Video-Eldorado Group, Hoff in order to scout and adopt innovations.

We are happy to announce finalists of the Kaspersky Open Innovation Program «Cyber Security for Small & Medium Businesses»! Representatives of Kaspersky closely reviewed all 186 applications from 36 countries and selected 12 of the brightest and most interesting participants. The largest number of applications came from the USA, the United Kingdom, Israel, Russia, Germany, and France. Every third application received a very high rating from the organizers.
