GoTech Contest announced Finalists of 6 Nominations

Experts selected 65 startups to participate in the Contest Finale. The finalists will receive tickets to the GoTech Arena Forum on October 15, 2019 in Moscow and will be able to participate in the finale. A total of 658 startups from 22 countries and 97 cities took part in the contest.

The majority of the applied tech companies specialized in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (15%), the second place took startups focused on Big Data and Analytics (13%), followed by Mobile and Cloud technologies (10% each). The least of startups that took part in the GoTech Contest are using such technology as Smart Materials (3%), Game Development and Gamification technologies (3%). 

The most common areas of startups participating in the contest were Retail and e-Commerce (15%), Smart Cities/Homes/Cars (11%), and Manufacturing (9%). Startups focused on Mining, Supply Chains, and Agro and Farming technologies (3% each) were represented to a lesser extent.

Arena Pitch Nomination finalists will get a chance to pitch on the main stage of GoTech Arena Forum, attract attention of corporations and VCs, and win Special Awards from official partners. The main prize for winner will be two tickets to Web Summit 2019 conference in Lisbon from the event organizer GoTech Innovation. VTB Bank will award the best FinTech startup with the opportunity to launch a commercial pilot project. The Untitled Ventures fund established a $100,000 investment proposal. Vienna Business Agency will award one of the finalists with a tour to Vienna FinTech Week 2019 in Vienna.

Winners of the Rostelecom Nomination will receive the offer to launch a pilot project with Rostelecom and, as a result, raise investments or become a partner of the company.

Best startups of the Finlanding Nomination will receive support from Helsinki Centre in entering the European market, as well as tickets to the Slush 2019 startup festival.

The winner of the SKL Tech Nomination will receive a cash prize of 150 000 rub, invitation to SKL Tech business incubator and an opportunity to raise investments.

The best digital solutions that will be able to show a significant breakthrough using 5G and IoT technology in Beeline 5G Digital Experience Nomination will get the opportunity to launch a pilot project with Beeline, as well as to launch their projects on a special tech platform equipped for testing in 5G networks technology.

The finalists of the Go Estonia Nomination will present their startups at the pitch session, which will further determine the winner. The best startups in the category will receive support in launching business in Estonia, and tickets for the team to Tallinn Startup Week on 11-15 November 2019.

The winners of all six nominations will be announced during GoTech Arena Forum in Moscow on October 15. The event will gather 1200 entrepreneurs, investors and representatives of large companies and startups. The ticket sale to the forum is currently open.
