Web Ready 2009 winner InSales bought Torgg.com

InSales platform for online stores and sale automation has acquired Torgg.com service for development of online stores websites. The news were provided to us directly by the company.

Details of the transaction are not disclosed. It is reported that all Torgg.com users will be transferred to the InSales service within half a year.

About a half of InSales.ru shares belongs to Russian founders of the service while a strategic western investor holds another half. Previously, the Naspers media holding owned the majority stake of InSales.ru; it had entered the company in 2011 by buying the share of the AddVenture fund and partly the founders’ shares. The Naspers share holding was bought in 2015 by the founders and the strategic investor. Particular shares and transaction details are not disclosed.

Torgg.com service is a cloud solution for creation of online store websites. According to internal sources, over 1,000 active online stores were operating at Torgg.com platform at the moment of transaction. The service is provided by the Freemedium scheme (free basic features and the paid extended version). The company exists since 2012.

InSales.ru is a platform for creation of online stores and sales automation. According to internal sources, its services are used by 5,000 online stores, including PITER publishing house, GoPRO, Coffee Cantata, and Azbuka Vkusa (St. Petersburg).
