About the project
VeeRoute is a mobile service of logistics optimisation. The application draws courier routes automatically with account of different adjustable limitations, such as the time and terms of delivery, traffic conditions, cargo dimensions, etc. The service is controlled in real time, the owner can modify and add tasks, add new conditions, e.g., change a route or delivery time. According to the developers, routes made in VeeRoute are more efficient by 30–40% than routes drawn by logistic operators manually, and by 10–20% than routes developed in traditional TMS systems.
About the contest
Our consecutive victories in one of the Web Ready nominations and the GenerationS contest played a big role for our company. At Web Ready, we obtained a grant of RUR 5M for development from Skolkovo Fund and a resident position in their incubator. The awarded money let us live through till the first serious investors. It should be noted that one of our business angels guarding our company noticed VeeRoute during their work in the contest jury.
Customers
VeeRoute came to be in great demand in various market sectors, such as courier services, distributors, online shops, shipping and service companies, banking sector, etc. For example, now we work with the B2Cpl, e96 courier services, Elementaree food delivery service (whom we also met Web Ready).
Future plans
Currently we are developing in three key areas. The first operation sphere covers small and medium companies who subscribe to our services. This sphere shows stable high growth this year, the mean monthly increase of payments comprises RUR 100,000 due to both new customers and extension of the subscription package with the existing customers. The second development area is sale of licenses for service use to large companies with fleets exceeding 100 cars. Now we are at the final stage of executing a contract with one of the leading Russian banks. As for the third area, it is the most challenging and interesting to us: our nearest plans include development of smart components for VeeRoute. For that purpose we have invited a top category Technical Director, who is a world champion in algorithmic programming. Currently, we are negotiating with Microsoft, Oracle and SAP to include our service as a module into their systems. It will be a quantum leap to an altogether new level. Many large companies experience grave problems with routing and planning, and our software in the described form will be able to solve their issues.
